ABOUT SFU ROWING

The Simon Fraser University Rowing Club aims to support, promote, and advance the sport of rowing within both the university and surrounding community. Based out of Burnaby Lake, SFU Rowing is a competitive program that develops elite athletes who compete on provincial and national levels. The team competes within Canada and the United States to attend highly competitive regattas. Classified as a club within our university, the team receives very limited funding. We raise all our funds to buy equipment, cover travel expenses, regatta fees and coach wages. Individual athletes also currently cover a portion of these costs. We are a student-run organization; in addition to their studies and intensive training schedules, SFU Rowing is administered by a student lead executive board.
